Well alot has happend this year guys so I am asking because the server stays empty anymore other than the handfull of guys that are here all the time.THIS DOES NOT MEAN THIS WILL HAPPEN JUST ASKING TO SEE HOW MANY ARE STILL INTERESTED..
Thanks for your replies,
Jody
P.S. I have tried to do my very best with this league guys the problem is it is very hard to find real good drivers that won't cry like babies.Just let me know what you guys think. If we do run next year I was thinking of going back to what we always done before.Of corse we will keep the COT's but we would add another series that would be fixed setups for everyone to run in and keep the COT's as a vote in series only.anothor words if they don't won't to run in the fixed setups and show us they do have respect for other people they would not get voted in to run the COT's

I think that is a great idea guys. I would love to run with y'all, always been interested...I'm just not up to snuff with alot of y'all in terms of experience with this sim, so I haven't been racing because I've felt like I was just in the way. I've been racing on the Vidane side because it seems they race more for fun and fellowship, where GOBRL is more serious racing, nothing wrong with that either. Regardless, if I do run or not...Jody you should not shut the site down, just for the pure reason of it provides such a powerful witness. |

I am unsure where u have been racing b/c it seems the same in both leagues to me... I have been there for all the races in both leagues.
I think this is also about just having fun in general....no one comes in ventrilo any more...no one plays anything except for the rare and few.
We used to have fun playing Battlefield, golf, fishing, monster trucks, racing pickup races, etc....
Everyone seems to be of the impression that all we do is race Sunday open sets and its serious....but this is what yall have made it not us!
Its always been about fun and fellowship....but many got tired of some making racing moves above their abilities and wrecking the field.
It got ridiculous when it happened week in and week out ....how is that suppose to be fun? especially if you were the one wrecked every week by the same people.
We know there will be wrecks but this went beyond that where people racing too seriously ruined the fun for those just doing that ...having fun!!!
I agree though we should have a fixed division so everyone is on the same page and not having to worry about sets.....just plain fun!!!! |

Oh my goodness no, do not shut GOBRL down. But I am going to pray for the Lord to lead us, and this league in any direction He see's fit. Sometime"s it's hard to understand where we are going and why He does thing's the way He does but He has the perfect plan for all of us, individually and as a group or should I say league. From a Christian standpoint I love you guy's and I want nothing more but to learn also myself to trust Jesus more each day and be part of something, the league, in which I pray we all learn to place more trust in His will each day. So I'm in this for the ride and want to praise Him when we are up, and for right now when we are down. Come on guy's pray, let's put these matter's in His Powerful, Trustworthy hand's. |

Gotta agree with Ron on this one.
We really appreciate all you guys do for us. A lot of people call GOBRL home. I think we have something really great going on, and from what I can tell you've been doing it a long time. I have a lot of fun racing, and I wouldn't race if it weren't fun. We're still getting pretty big fields every week, too. If GOBRL shut down, I'd probably be stuck racing in a non-Christian league where they use bad language and don't race with respect.
I think it'd be fun if we had the serious races on Sunday and maybe some "goof around" races Saturday night... winner picks or something. |

GOB is one of the best run leagues I've run in. Everyone's respectable and gets along with each other for the most part. I was around when GOB first started up. I helped Jo build the original site. And in return I got a great wheel and a great group of friends. After a few years I took a break from GOB to try and find something that fit me better, and here I am, back at my roots, racin' with the same group of guys as 7 years ago, along with a lot more.
I can't really put my finger on why guys aren't coming in during the week and shootin' each other up. I know since I graduated 2 years ago I started workin' 50+ hours a week and sleep as soon as I get home.
But for the racing, in my opinion I think it's just the long schedule. As much as everyone likes running the same tracks that NASCAR runs that weekend, it seems like it's slowly driving guys out. You figure, if you miss 3 or 4 races during the season, it's hard to get back into the points battle, which drives down interest. Take the Dash Cup Series over at Vidane for example. |
