There will be no more retireing from a points race if you start the race you must finish the race.If you get damage you get towed in and they tell you if you are done.Then if you quit it will tell what happenned this and asking an admin if you can leave is the only excuses that will be excepted!!After 3 times retireing you will not be able to race that series anymore for that season sorry guys but I get alot of complaints on this and when I am running for a championship it makes me upset when someone quits so I can very well understand what there complaining about.So with that said IF YOU START A RACE PLAN ON FINISING IT PLEASE OR DON'T START...

Good Ole Boys Racin League
Season Rules!!
These rules are here to ensure that each GOBRL driver has fun and each race
is a good, clean race. Only the officials have the right to change these
rules. Each driver should read and understand these rules.
THESE RULES WILL ALSO APPLY TO THE VENTRILO SERVER WHERE APPLICABLE!
#1.There will be rules of conduct. There will be no flaming or swearing at other drivers.
A.The first violation will be a strong verbal warning.
B.The second violation will be a race suspension and talk suspension.
C.The third violation you will be banned from all servers
.
#2 There will be no swearing or profanity in the servers. We all are adults
but you also have to remember that there are a few minors in our league.
We can not penalize you for conversation before and after races but after
being told continously to watch your language and it persists. We will ask
you to leave the server for that race and ventrilo. There will be no
exceptions here. The ownerbeleives in Jesus Christ so if you have a
problem with profanity please keep it out of the servers.
#3.If you come into conflict with another driver you will need to e-mail an
official.It should not be discussed during the race or in the chatroom. If
this should happen then the driver that causes the disturbance will be
penalized. If there is a conflict then the conflict should be brought to an
official or an administrator within that week. That way the problem
should be resolved by the next race.
Everyone must realize there will be slower cars on the track so use good
judgement and watch your driving tactics. Sometimes you will need to
slow down and not run over traffic.If a driver causes an accident by being
relentless on a slower vehicle the administrators or officials will review
the situation and a penalty will be given out.
#1.There will be no excessive blocking, swerving or contact between cars.
You will be penalized for this at the disgression of the league officials.
Protecting your position is fine,but once a car is along side of you there
should not be no intentional contact. Pinching a car low to the corner,
cutting them off abruptly or squeezing a car into the wall will not be
tolerated. Penalties for driving too aggressively or wrecking someone
by accident will earn a points deduction. This deduction will be at the
disgression of the league officials.
Wrecking another driver on purpose will earn you a large points
deduction and a minimum of three race suspensions.
#2. Lapped cars are allowed to race the leaders. The lapped car
should not continously block the leader. The lapped driver should
safely move aside for a much faster car. It is the responsibility of
the lapped driver to be aware of its surroundings. If a lapped car is
knocked out by a faster car without giving the lapped car a chance
to move out of the way, there may be a penalty.
#3. There is no reason for a driver to have any fears of another
driver as they come around to lap them several times. The lapped
driver needs to change there driving line or let off the gas in the
straightaway. It is the lapped drivers responsibility to move
out of the way.
#4. There will be no forcing cars off the track on road courses.
Many of the road courses are tight so leave room for the areas
on these tracks where two-wide racing is possible.
#5. There will be no blocking until the last two laps.On the
last two laps you will be able to block any other driver. Holding
the low line is considered blocking but not excessive blocking. You
will be able to hold the low line for the last 10 laps.Excessive blocking is
blocking low and high lines and will be allowed on the last two laps only.
GOBRL will not tolerate cheating of any kind. WHAT IS CHEATING?
A. Any form of modifying the Nascar game in order to gain advantage
over others. You can modify tire rims, window nets, dashboards and,
for which they change the look of the game, not the physics or driving.
B. These are the most common forms of cheating but they are not limited
to just these three categories. Modifying the stock.car file,the physics or
driving a different mod within the server.
C.PLAYERS CAUGHT CHEATING WILL BE BANNED FROM GOBRL
RESTARTING THE RACE
There will be 1 restart per race.And only if 2 or more cars are involed.
Do not ask for a restart if you spin out by yourself you will be
deducted 5 points if you do.The race will not be restarted after 1st
lap has been ran.Type "rs" to request a restart. You
do not type "rs" if the race has already been restarted.
You will be penalized for agressive moves at the start of the race.
Trying to gain positions early and causing a wreck and then asking
for a restart will not be tolerated. These are long races so take
it easy at the beginning and you will be better off in the long run.
DISCONNECTS
1. First if you retire{QUIT}a race just because you got recked and
just don't want to finnish you will be deducted points.We are here to
finnish races not QUIT.If you feel you have to do this PLEASE DON"T
START THE RACE THANKS ADMIN!!!!!
2. GOBRL is not responsible for disconnects. If you are disconnected for
any reason we ask you come back into the server as soon as
Possible and we will do our best to fix the laps .
3. We will run one or two practice races before qualifying. The
administrators or officials can prohibit someone from racing if the
particular driver has too much warping during practice. They can
also ask any warping drivers to start at the end of the field for
qualifying.
4. A driver that has a less serious connection may be asked to
take a provisional for qualifying.
5. A driver that is asked to leave because of warping will be put
on the back end of the field in the race rsults. GOBRL will be
enforcing this rule to substain good races. A driver should reboot
if they feel that their connection is not up to its proper speed.

6. If you loose connection right before the race starts. Tell us in
ventrilo and we will restart but qualifying points will stay the same,
even though we must qualify again. First round qualifying counts for
points only, not restarts. The 2 bonus points will go to the original
polesitter. The new polesitter will receive no points. If the driver
disconnects from the server right before the grid is set, they may
reconnect and drive in the race but they must start at the tail of
the field. If the disconnection happens again, the starting grid will
not be affected and there will not be another restart.
7. If 50% or more of the field is disconnected, the race will not
be counted and the race will be rescheduled.
2004 GOBRL POINTS SYSTEM
Points are awarded as follows: 30, 27, 25, 23, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16,
15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 to the top 25 drivers.
One (1) point is awarded to all drivers finishing 25th and lower,
providing the driver started 'the event and completed at least one lap.
One point is also awarded to any driver who leads a lap during the
race, and one point goes to the driver leading the most laps. In the
case of a tie, the driver with the highest finishing position is
awarded the point.
In addition to the above point system, drivers will be awarded one
point for qualifying in 'the top-three positions and one additional
point will be awarded to the fastest qualifier.
TIE-BREAKING
1. If two drivers are tied in the 2004 series points at the end of the
season.We will determine the tie-breaker by the following:
A. Starts
B. Wins
C. Top 5's
D. Top 10's
E. Bonus Points
F. Average Finish
2. The administrators will have the authority to decide what happens
based on the A,B,C,D,E,F above of the season.
RACE RESULTS SCORING
The league officials will determine the finishing order with the following items:
A. RACE REPLAY
B.RACE EXPORT
When finishing the race make sure you cross the start/finish line so it will
show your finishing position. If you do not do this it will show you as DNF.
We will go to replay to figure out the reason for DNF ( accident, disconnect,
engine or retiree). We will save every race and the race-by-race results.
PITTING
Before the beginning of each race we will discuss entering, exiting, and
the mph of pitroad. When we discuss these things you will need to pay attention
because if you break the rules of pitting there will be a penalizationThere are
a lot of unexperienced drivers and new comers in this league, so if you get taken
out every now and then don't get upset it is just a game. You need to remember
that you were there at one time or another. If possible try to see why they
messed up and explain to them so they will get better. We are all here to help
each other in this league.
